Last week we went with some friends to the Jacksonville Zoo. It had been a few years since mine and Anderson’s last visit, and Kingston had never been. In full disclosure—I’m not much of an animal person. I know. Some of you just wrote me off as an evil, uncaring human being. It’s true. But Anderson falls on the other extreme of the animal love scale. He wants them ALL as pets. So he was pretty excited about the outing. Guess what Kingston’s favorite part was. The monkeys? The elephants? The giraffes? Nope. He fell in love with the ceiling fans hanging under all of the shaded areas. Yep. Big smiles and lots of pointing and babbling every time he saw one. So next time we want to take him on an adventure, we’re going to Home Depot.
