Double Date

The other day Kingston and I went on a little lunch double-date with our friends Brooke and Culver at The Brick. Kingston already looks up to Culver, but when he and his mom showed up bearing gifts, he was completely smitten. He tried to get his attention (lots of “Hey Culver!” while waving right in…

pinkcoffeephoto - Thanks Jenna! That’s sweet! And yes. It is so much fun.

February 9, 2013 - 1:44 pm

Jenna - Awe! You girls have the cutest little boys. Isn’t it fun raising kids alongside good friends?

February 9, 2013 - 10:00 am

Brooke - We had so much fun too! I think Cuver enjoyed the attention that did not include hair pulling or hitting. One day Kingston will be some little boy’s idol too :)

Share the Love

Kingston is an only child. That might not always be the case. But right now it is. One of my goals in raising an only child is making sure he understands that it’s not all about him. In many ways, our family revolves around him. That’s just how it is when you have kids sometimes….

January via Cell Phone Pics

And there went January 2013. Wow! I feel like I’m the only mom on the planet who feels this way, but I love how time flies. (I’m always hesitant to say that out loud, because people look at me like I’m an alien.) Maybe it’s a personality thing? Or maybe it’s because my Kingston is…

Sarah - I like your thoughts! Just take time to enjoy it, beacause it really does fly!

January 31, 2013 - 7:47 pm

Anna Marie - Great pictures as always! I’m with you about time flying. My kids are in middle school and I enjoy every (hormonal) stage. Life’s too short to whine about slowing it down!

January 31, 2013 - 6:29 pm

Jamie - My favorite picture is the one of you and Anderson at Target. That one cracked me up.

Good. Not So Good.

Good: Maybelline The Falsies mascara. This stuff is magical. I’ve used good ‘ole Great Lash since I started wearing makeup in middle school. My Mom used it, so I just used hers and loved it. And over the years I’ve tried different ones but always come back to that pink and green tube. Then one…

Tracy - AH! But how nice is it that the only problems were little things like your fly being down and wearing pajamas out!?! Have you been to Walmart lately? Half of everyone there is in sleepwear!

January 30, 2013 - 8:34 am

pinkcoffeephoto - Pops, That’s good!!

January 29, 2013 - 10:02 pm

Pops - The best advice I ever received from an old preacher – he was asked, “Sir, what is the last thing you do before you go into the pulpit?” Expecting some great spiritual truth, everyone was shocked when he said, “Son, I check my fly ’cause if it’s down they will never hear a word you say.” Sounds like I’m not the only one who needs to heed his advice.

January 29, 2013 - 7:03 pm

pinkcoffeephoto - Ha! Ginger, I need you around all the time. :)

January 29, 2013 - 6:18 pm

Ginger - *I* am one of those people who will tell you your fly is down or that you need a Kleenex but, to be fair, it’s possible that no one’s eyes dropped that far that day. Maybe that new mascara was that effective.

Good. Not so good.

Not-So-Good: – Growing out bangs. I keep saying I’ll never have bangs again. Then I forget I said that. And the cycle begins again. So annoying. I’m even taking my Biotin everyday (miracle hair growth supplement!), but it just isn’t working fast enough for me this time. – My eyesight is THE WORST. The other…

pinkcoffeephoto - I wish you could come too. Cause I’d make a lot of money off you – haha! jk. Anderson works for a Navy contractor. (Jax is a big Navy town). Other than that he does just play all the time. :)

January 21, 2013 - 10:46 am

annie - Those are great pictures!!!! I love them!

I wish I could come for your yard sale! I bet I could find some treasures!!!!

What does Anderson do? I assumed y’all just played and had fun all day! ;) Cause he’s always in all the pictures! But yes…PRAISE THE LORD FOR A JOB! A TO THE MEN SISTA!!!!!

January 21, 2013 - 9:57 am

pinkcoffeephoto - Ha! Jen, that does make me feel better!!!

January 21, 2013 - 9:36 am

Jennifer Higginbotham - The bang thing… will drive you nuts!! If it makes you feel any better, I find half eaten apples all over our house. Tucker is the apple bandit. I’ve found them in the bathroom, on a shelf that is often overlooked, until I deep clean, and in the toy box. Yep, good times. Yay for a Ms. Peggy & Lyndsay yard sale!!! =)
