I love blogging! Have I ever even said that here? I don’t think I have, but it really is something that I’ve grown to enjoy. This blog started as a place to post my latest Pink Coffee work, but over the last couple of years it’s morphed into an online journal where I can write about other things I care about: family, faith, style… and other randomness. This blog is the top refer for my business, but it’s also something I can look back at and laugh or cry, you know, whatever. I’ve thought about downloading all the personal content into a book. Has anyone done that? Kind of an updated version of the ‘ole scrapbook!

Anyway, since it’s the end of the year and we all get a little refelcty (not a word) it seemed like a good time to post some of my favorite content from 2012.

Once again, I had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients this year! It was so hard to narrow down this list, because there were favorite moments and images from every shoot. There was just something extra special about each of these shoots that made my heart smile. A lot of times it had more to do with the interactions between the people on the other side of the lens than with how I felt about the final images. I continue to be amazed and grateful that people actually hire me to document important moments in their lives. Thank you. Thank you!!!

I loved working with Dalton at Kingsley Plantation last week. He has such an easy-going, laid-back personality… and the prettiest blue eyes ever. :)

I love these two funny people and can’t believe they’re graduating from high school.

I loved getting to work with this Texas-based family again while they were on their annual Florida vacation! Last time we were together Brett was graduating from high school, so he was in the spotlight. This time it was Mackenzie’s turn! We used the opportunity to get some updated family shots too. I love their laid-back, effortless style. Of course when I told them this they were like, “Who, us?” Ha! Such fun people. Now that everyone is finished with senior pics we have to come up with an excuse for another shoot…

The girl who was named after Elvis… how could she not be the coolest thing ever?!
Presley is a beach girl at heart. She lives there and spends a lot of time in the sand (hello gorgeous tan!), so we decided it was the perfect spot for her senior pictures. Add to the mix her custom Barbie car + a pink prom dress + an accidental swim in the ocean and I hope she got what she wanted:
“Senior pictures that don’t look like everyone else’s!”

Beautiful.
Athletic.
Smart.
Funny.
Stylish.
Kind.
Erin has it all!

I LOVED working with her.
And she brought her whole family along for the adventure!

I love working with the contestants for the Miss Mandarin High School Pageant. This is my 3rd year with them! The girls meet with me before the pageant and have head-shots taken. The pics are used to choose Miss Photogenic and are in the pageant program. How this school continues to produce gorgeous girls year after year is a mystery. But I’m glad, because it makes my job super easy!

Jenna brought her entourage along for her senior photoshoot. Seriously, I showed up and there were 6 people and a dog with her. Ha! I knew it would be a fun group, and they didn’t disappoint. She also changed clothes 5 times. 5 TIMES! Definitely a record. The girl has some serious style – sparkly Converse shoes, a fedora and ankle boots with studs. Give me one of those and I’m excited, but all in one session? Ah! Yes, please!!!

I loved working with Harlee again this year. This time we met up for a senior photo session. She brought her mom along for laughs and “protection” (there’s always a lot of excitement/drama when you shoot in the Jax Beach area) and several cute outfits to wear. In fact she changed 4 times in less than an hour. I’m pretty sure that’s a record!

Stephanie is one of those people who you meet once and never, ever forget. No, seriously. She has a larger-than-life personality, likes to laugh and never meets a stranger. Steph is graduating this year from the University of North Florida, so we got together recently at the Jacksonville Zoo for her senior pictures. My favorite part about this shoot is that you can see her crazy, fun Stephanie-ness in ever shot.
